Record Snowfall in the Rockies

While our friends out east are faced with an early end to their ski season due to the unseasonal temperatures, we've been blessed with record snowfall this winter.
Sunshine Village has broken records for snowiest March and is only a few cm away from breaking the season record of 30 feet! This morning Lake Louise broke the March record, dating back to 1955-56. They are well on their way to have one of the snowiest season ever. Castle, Fernie, Kicking Horse, Kimberley, Marmot Basin and Norquay are all boasting amazing conditions as well with another 30-80cm of fresh snow this week!
Just Spectacular!
For those who know me or have ever heard me talk about snowboarding you’ll know that Kicking Horse Mountain Resort is my favourite place to ride… ever. So yes, I’m a bit biased when I say that the day trip to Kicking Horse was the best trip I've been on so far this year.
Passion Reborn
This Sunday was our great trip to Sunshine with Char Normandeau from 100.7 fm the River. We had some very enthusiastic skiiers and snowboarders with us that absolutely loved the great conditions.
As always, there was more to this day than we ever expected. Char is a former snowboard instructor that left behind more than a job when she left the mountains...
Great Conditions at the Lake

We were greated with lots of fresh snow for a great first trip of the season to the Lake. With all lifts now open, this is as good as it gets for November skiing!
Great Early Season Skiing at Nakiska
It's good to be back on snow! Our first day trip of the season was at Nakiska this past weekend. Snow conditions were excellent with good coverage on the open runs.

Thanksgiving in Banff
Thanksgiving brunch at the Banff Springs Hotel delivers far more than expected (even with our lofty expectations for amazing food). The staff was some of the best we've ever encountered in a hotel and the food...well just one word works best "WOW". The selection of classic Thanksgiving fair and new favorites was a sigh (and taste) to behold.
